Last week, Green replaced Rich Bickle as
driver of the No. 59 car and in his debut collected a ninth place finish at
Kansas Speedway. According to Geschickter, the team will be looking at several
drivers at the end of this season in an attempt to find one that will contribute
to the long-term success of their racing program.
Lowe’s Motor Speedway is a 1.5- mile oval
track located 20 minutes outside Charlotte, North Carolina and is home to an
overwhelming majority of the Busch Series race teams. “There’s not a driver
or team that wouldn’t like to win at Charlotte,” remarked Green. “It’s
in our backyard and a place where your neighbors can come out to see you
race.” Green has had success at Lowe’s Motor Speedway while driving in the
NASCAR Busch Series. In 1997 he had a career best fifth place finish at the
track.
