Irving Oil, Mark Green Team With Jay Robinson
#28 Irving Oil Ford scheduled to run New Hampshire
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 22, 2004) —Irving Oil will sponsor Mark Green’s
#28 Ford in this weekend’s Siemens 200 NASCAR Busch Series race at
the one-mile New Hampshire International Speedway.
Green’s #28 Irving Oil Ford is fielded by Jay Robinson Racing, one
of NASCAR’s mainstay owners, which also fields the #39 Yahoo! Ford
of driver Tina Gordon and the #49 Advil Ford of driver Derrike Cope.
“We are really excited about Irving stepping up and sponsoring Mark’s
car for this race,”said Robinson. “We’re going to give
them a top effort this weekend. We’re looking forward to giving thousands
of Irving customers more reasons to cheer.”
Green, a native of Owensboro, Ky., is a top veteran campaigner in the NASCAR
Busch Series. He and his brothers, Jeff and Mark, along with Cup drivers
Michael Waltrip and Jeremy Mayfield, lead the charge from an area that has
become a “cradle for race car drivers.”Former Cup champion Darrell
Waltrip was the first driver from Owensboro to reach the top levels of NASCAR
racing.
