Green Foundation presents “Hilarity for Charity”

Unique event to raise money for “OPERATION MARATHON”

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A truly unique night of fun and guaranteed laughs is now set. The Green Foundation presents “Hilarity for Charity” to support Michael Waltrip’s “OPERATION MARATHON” benefiting the Victory Junction Gang Camp.

The event, a first in the sport of NASCAR, brings together the superstars of the track with one of the brightest stars of the comedic stage. NASCAR’s Michael Waltrip, Jeff Green, Mark Green, and others will join forces with world famous comedian Killer Beaz in a night to laugh for a cause.

Beaz will highlight the event with his all-star standup performance during a night that will also include a live and silent auction to help raise money for “OPERATION MARATHON.” “OPERATION MARATHON” encourages NASCAR fans across the country to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp through the running of the 39th Las Vegas Marathon on Jan. 30.

“We decided we wanted to do something a little bit different, something fun, to give Michael a hand,” said Green Foundation co-founder Jeff Green. “We all know Michael’s personality and, well, we figured maybe someone as talented as Killer Beaz might finally give him the last laugh. I don’t know if that’s possible, but in any case, we’re very proud to host ‘Hilarity for Charity’ and help lend our support to OPERATION MARATHON and the Victory Junction Gang Camp.”

Green Foundation’s Mark Green added, “This is going to be a really exciting night. We have had so much success with our annual golf tournament and our other events, but this is something we’re really looking forward to. You put Michael in any room and you’re going to laugh, but him and Killer Beaz in the same room…..it’s going to be an awesome time for a great cause.”

The event will take place Monday night, Oct. 18, at the Comedy Zone located at the corner of 8th and College Streets in Charlotte, North Carolina. The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. Light hors d’oeuvre’s and soft drinks will be served.
