Green nails down 25th position in
desert
Phoenix, Az. - Mark Green qualified 25th for the Bashas Supermarkets 200
on Wednesday. It is the fifth consecutive race Green has qualified for since
joining Keith Coleman Racing.
“We were a little slower in practice, but we were never worried,” said
Green. “We were just running our race set-up and we knew we would have
a good jump once we switched to a qualifying set-up.”
Green earned a spot on the inside of row 13 with a lap speed of 130.194
mph. His lap time of 27.651 seconds was 0.749 behind pole-sitter Kyle
Busch who
set a new lap qualifying record with a time of 26.902 and a speed of 133.819
mph.
The team will make some final adjustments to the car on Friday during Happy
Hour before the race on Saturday at the Phoenix International Raceway.
The race will air on NBC at 2:30 p.m. CST.
