KCR names Hatfield as crew chief of the #26 LoveFiFi.com Chevrolet

Eddyville, Ky – Wayne Hatfield has been named crew chief of the #26 LoveFiFi.com Chevrolet, Keith Coleman Racing (KCR) announced today.

Hatfield, a 15-year veteran of NASCAR, has served as car chief since coming to KCR earlier this year. Before joining KCR, he spent seven years at Brewco Motorsports in Central City, Ky.

“ Wayne has really proved himself in the shop and at the track,” said driver Mark Green. “He’s knows what it takes to set up a car and how to make adjustments. I’m confident that he’ll be able to give me the car I need to race up front.”

An award winning crew chief on the NASCAR All-Pro series, Hatfield has been involved with cars all his life. He holds an associate degree from Marshall University and worked as a blueprint engineer before getting into racing.

He said the chance to be a crew chief is something he is looking forward to.

“ It is going to take time to get everyone working together but I know we can get it done,” Hatfield said. “It is going to be exciting to take Mark and do what he needs to move up in the field.”

He’ll get his first chance to do just that this weekend as the team attempts to make it’s sixth consecutive qualifying effort at the Ford 300 in Homestead.
