House to oversee race operations
at KCR
Eddyville, Ky. – Keith Coleman Racing (KCR) has named Tommy House as
Team Manager / Director of Race Operations, the team announced today.
House has been with KCR as a consultant for the past several months. He
retired from NASCAR earlier this year after spending 26 years as a Busch
Series official
during two separate stints with the organization.
“
It is a big job, but I’m looking forward to it,” House said. “With
three teams running on the NASCAR Busch Series and a Nextel Cup team, I know
it is going to be a challenge.”
His duties will include overseeing all aspects of the race shop for all
of the teams and being the final authority at the track.
“I’m going to do whatever I can to help each team,” House explained. “Officially
my job is work with the crew chiefs and make sure they have what they need to
be successful but I’m not above picking up a wrench and jumping in if
I need to either.”
“Tommy is a perfect fit for this position,” said Keith Coleman, team
owner. “He’s been in the field for a long time and he knows what
it takes to win. There is nothing he doesn’t know about a race car and
his experience will be a vital part of our organization’s success next
year.
