Race starts late, ends early for Green
Nashville, Tenn. – It was a rough weekend for Mark
Green and the #23 Vassarette Chevrolet in Nashville at the
Federated Au\to Parts 300.
Inclement weather washed out qualifying and forced the
race to be postponed 17 hours. The race finally got underway
on Sunday afternoon but it hadn’t even reached the
halfway point when Green was spun out and collided with
the wall in turn three.
The crash ended Green’s day at the track as he was
forced to take the car to the garage.
“We had some early handling issues but the adjustments
seemed to be working,” said Green. “We just
got bumped and it got me loose in the turn. Unfortunately
the car was too badly damaged for us to get back on the
track.”
Clint Bowyer won the race. A total of 19 cars finished
on the lead lap.
