Green has something to prove at Milwaukee
Mile
Eddyville, Ky. – Mark Green will attempt to qualify
the #23 Vassarette Chevrolet for the ninth consecutive week
in Milwaukee, Wis. on Saturday.
Green, who set a track record during qualifying in 1997,
has always enjoyed the track but hasn’t run as well
as he thought he should each time he’s been.
“I don’t know if you can call it bad luck or
not, but we always seem to be shaking our head a little
every time we leave there,” Green said. “It’s
a fun track and I’ve always qualified well there but
for some reason we just haven’t been able to put it
together on race day – yet.”
Green will be running the car that he used to finish 22nd
in the Funai 250.
“It was a good car then, but we had some trouble
with the brakes,” he said. “The guys in the
shop have made several adjustments and it should be better
this time around.”
The race begins at 8:05 p.m. central time on Saturday and
will air on FX. It will be preceded by qualifying on Speed
at 5:05 p.m.
