Green 20th, Crosby 39th in Salute to Troops
250
Fountain, Co. – Mark Green finished 29th and Kin
Crosby ended up 39th in the Salute to the Troops 250 at
Pikes Peak International Raceway on Saturday.
Green started in 27th position in the BMAR Support Our
Troops Chevrolet and worked his way up to 20th by the end
of the day. It was his highest finish since coming in 11th
at Talladega earlier this season.
“The guys in the shop and at the track have been
working really hard the past few weeks,” said Green.
“We’re not there yet but we’re making
a lot of progress. They did a great job in the pits today
too.”
Crosby started in 39th position but was forced to bring
the Vassarette Chevrolet into the garage when it developed
engine trouble on lap 127.
“It was a tough run for us,” she said. “Unfortunately
we had some engine trouble that slowed us down and forced
us out of the race.”
Both Green and Crosby will be in action next week when
the Busch Series heads to St. Louis.
