Biagi Bros. Racing Announces Big Changes to 2006 Busch Series Effort

Mooresville, NC (November 28, 2005) - Biagi Bros. Racing announced today that Mark Green will drive the No. 4 GEICO Dodge during the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series season. In addition to naming Green as the driver, Biagi Bros. Racing has hired Jon Wolfe as crew chief. The team will remain in their state-of-the-art race shop in Mooresville, NC, and will field Dodge’s for Green next year.

"I am looking forward to the opportunity that Fred Biagi has given me to drive the GEICO Dodge Charger in 2006,” said Green. “It will be a pleasure to be in quality equipment and work with an experienced organization."

Green is a veteran of the NASCAR Busch Series, competing in 209 events since 1995. The Owensboro, Kentucky, native most recently drove a limited schedule for Keith Coleman Racing and has secured one top-5 and 13 top-10’s over the course of his career.

Green’s driving career began in 1973 when he began racing go-carts in the Southern Indiana Racing Association. He dominated immediately, winning six consecutive championships. Green moved up to the late model division in 1984 and competed in select NASCAR Slim Jim All-Pro Series races from 1988 to 1991. He built a successful record in short track racing, notching wins in 16 out of 20 races in 1993 and winning track championships at Beech Bend Raceway from 1991 through 1993.

In 1995, Green began racing in the NASCAR Busch Series with Brewco Motorsports. Despite only running a part-time schedule in 1995 and 1996, Green scored one top-10 finish and qualified on the outside pole at Myrtle Beach Speedway. Green’s success enabled him to compete in his first full season of NASCAR Busch Series competition in 1997, where he scored his first top-5, posted five top-10’s, landed the track qualifying record at the Milwaukee Mile, and finished 11th in the Driver’s Point Standings.

Over the years, Green has proved that he has talent, but racing for Biagi Bros. in the No. 4 GEICO Dodge may be his break out year. Green, who is the middle brother in the Green family of drivers, has racing success in his blood. Older brother David is the 1994 NASCAR Busch Series Champion while younger brother Jeff captured the same title in 2000. With six years between the two brothers’ titles, 2006 just may be Mark Green’s year.

With primary sponsorship from GEICO, the 5th largest private-passenger auto insurer in the United States, and associate sponsorship from PetBrands, 2006 should be a standout year for Mark Green and his new team. BryMak, a new sponsor for next year, has stepped up to support Green’s efforts. BryMak is a company that specializes in government service contracts, residential housing, and commercial maintenance. BryMak is located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and is owned by a service-disabled veteran.
