GREEN VYING FOR 250TH BUSCH/NATIONWIDE START
FORT WORTH, Texas - When the green flag drops for Saturday's O'Reilly Challenge NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, it will mark a milestone for Mark Green.
Green, now driving for Warsaw, Indiana-based ML Motorsports, a team owned by the mother-daughter team of Mary Louise Miller and Stephany Mullen, is in the Lonestar State this weekend trying to make his 250th career start in the Busch/Nationwide Series.
Green made his first start in 1995 at what was then called Indianapolis Raceway Park. Driving for Brewco Motorsports, Green started 28th and finished 18th.
Green began driving the No. 70 Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet for ML Motorsports midway through the 2007 season, finishing 21st at The Milwaukee Mile in his first outing.
Through 2007 and 2008, Green has made 28 starts for ML Motorsports, with a best finish of fifth at Talladega in April of 2008. The following week Green qualified fourth at Richmond.
In 249 starts, Green has an average start and finish of 25th.
