1973-1981 Launched driving career racing karts in the
Southern Indiana Racing Association. Won six consecutive
Indiana State Karting Championships.
1982 Graduated to American Speed Association (ASA) late
model division and competed in five events. Finished second
in first career ASA start.
1984-1987 Competed weekly in late model division at Nashville
Speedway USA, Beech Bend Raceway and Kentucky Motor Speedway.
1988 Competed in the NASCAR All American Challenge Series.
In 21 starts, scored one win (Kentucky Motor Speedway),
one pole, 11 top-five and 17 top 10 finishes. Finished
second in the points championship.
1989 Weekly competitor in late model division at Kentucky
Motor Speedway and Beech Bend Raceway. Competed in two
NASCAR All Pro Series (formerly All American Challenge
Series) races and recorded one top five finish.
1990 Competed in late model division at Nashville Speedway
USA and Kentucky Motor Speedway.
1991 Won late model division championship at Beech Bend
Raceway. Scored 18 wins in 26 starts. Competed in one NASCAR
All Pro Series event.
1992 Won second late model division championship at Beech
Bend Raceway. Competed at Highland Rim Speedway, scoring
eight wins in 12 starts.
1993 Won two late model division championships, Beech
Bend Raceway (third consecutive) and Kentucky Motor Speedway.
Won 16 of 20 races.
1994 Competed in late model division at Nashville Speedway
USA scoring five top-five and 14 top 10 finishes. Finished
fifth in the points championship.
1995 Joined Brewco Motorsports. Made NASCACR Busch Series
debut at Indianapolis Raceway Park and competed in two
races. Weekly competitor in late model division at Kentucky
Motor Speedway.
1996 Competed in 10 NASCAR Busch Series races. Qualified
second fastest at Myrtle Beach Speedway and scored first
top 10 finish.
1997 Competed in first full NASCAR Busch Series season.
Set track qualifying record at Milwaukee Mile and scored
first career top-five finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Ended the season 11th in the points championship with one
top-five and five top 10 finishes. Made NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series debut at the Milwaukee Mile and competed in
two races.
1998 Finished 13th in NASCAR Busch Series championship
with four top 10 finishes in 31 starts. Led his first lap
at Texas Motor Speedway.
1999 Joined Washington-Erving Motorsports, the NASCAR
Busch Series team owned by NFL star Joe Washington and
NBA legend Julius ‘Dr. J’ Erving. He scored
on top 10 finish for the upstart team.
2000 Joined the Hensley Motorsports NASCAR Busch Series
team and scored a seventh place finish at Talladega Superspeedway.
2001 Competed in 14 NASCAR Busch Series races for several
teams including Davis & Weight Motorsports, AJ Foyt
Racing and ST Motorsports
2002 Joined the Akins Motorsports NASCAR Busch Series
team and competed in 21 events.
2003 Competed in five NASCAR Busch Series races for different
teams including Akins Motorsports, Oretec Racing, Jay Robinson
Racing and Brewco Motorsports.
2004 Competed in 18 NASCAR Busch Series races for Jay
Robinson Racing and Keith Coleman Racing. Spotter for NEXTEL
Cup Series driver Kyle Petty. Test driver for Petty Enterprises.
2005 Competed in 18 NASCAR Busch Series races for GIC-Mixon
Motorsports and Keith Coleman Racing. Spotter for NASCAR
NEXTEL Cup Series driver Kyle Petty. Test driver for Petty
Enterprises.
2006 Joined the Biagi Brother Racing team and competed
in 11 NASCAR Busch Series races scoring one top 10 finish.
Spotter for NEXTEL Cup Series driver Kyle Petty. Test driver
for Petty Enterprises. Driver coach for driver Aric Almirola
with Joe Gibbs Racing.
